Hilde Hemmes' Herbals Liquorice Root Herbal Tea provides a soothing remedy for symptoms of cold and flu. Liquorice Root has traditionally been used in western herbal medicine:

  • to relieve bronchial mucous congestion and coughs

  • to relieve symptoms of common colds and sore throats

  • as an expectorant to clear respiratory tract mucous

  • for it's anti-inflammatory and demulcent (coats mucus membranes) properties

  • to support general health and wellbeing.




Infuse 1 heaped teaspoon of Liquorice Root in a cup of boiling water, steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink several cups daily.

If not using the tea straight away, you can store it in a covered jug or container in the fridge for up to 24 hours and gently warm the mixture before drinking.
