OVERVIEW

Achieve feminine balance, relieve menopausal symptoms and menstrual discomfort with Anna's Wild Yam Cream.

Anna's Wild Yam Cream was first formulated and tested in late 1996 and launched in February of 1997 as one of the first professionally blended wild yam creams on the Australian market. It consists of only the highest quality ingredients available, and the initial successful formula has not changed since it was produced. The active ingredient of wild yam is Diosgenin, a Phyto Sterol which can activate the bio-chemical lipid pathway aided by numerous enzymes, leading to the production of natural compounds Ubiquinone, Dolichols, Squalene and Cholesterol. This pathway is known as the 'Mevalonate Pathway'.

Cholesterol precursors Pregnenolone, among many other health functions, which initiates the complex multi pathways of the Adrenal Cortex Steroids, commonly referred to as the gender or reproductive steroids.

If your endocrine system is not entirely healthy, there is a reasonable possibility that Anna's Wild Yam Cream may help you produce a normal level of all your adrenal cortex steroids naturally, at the right time and in the right quantity for your best function. To understand the importance of this production and balance, visualise your adrenal cortex as your own complex onboard computerised production facility that produces the appropriate steroids on demand at any time to meet your immediate emotional, physical and reproductive needs.

Naturally balanced adrenal cortex hormones have many benefits you may experience by using Anna’s Wild Yam Cream. For example, they help use fat for energy, prevent hot flushes and night sweats, regulate menstrual cycles, restore libido, eliminate mood swings and normalise blood clotting amongst many more.

An Australian-made, world-leading formula for women of all ages.

DOSAGE

In the protocols, fractions of a small 2.5ml teaspoon are used as a guide to the amount of cream you should initially use. The definition of a small teaspoon is one that would normally be used for stirring coffee or tea in Australia. It is not a 5ml metric measuring spoon, nor is it a small souvenir teaspoon or the larger American teaspoon which is also 5ml.

When a quarter or half a teaspoon is referred to, the amount that could be measured by filling the teaspoon to level and dividing it into four or two equal parts should be used. We suggest that you do this once to see how much each amount looks like on your finger tip as a guide as to how much to apply from then on - we are not suggesting you measure each time!

As a general guide to usage, women using the Menstrual Discomfort protocol can expect a jar to last 3 months, and women using the Extreme Menustrual Discomfort, Menopause and Post Menopause protocol can expect a jar to last 2 months.

As there are no man-made hormones within Anna's, do not be concerned if you use a little more cream than suggested as your body will dispose of any nutrients it doesn't require.

USE

For external use only. We suggest that you choose one location for each application, alternating between your inner thighs, inner arms, stomach and chest, massaging gently until the cream is fully absorbed.

Menstrual Discomfort

Counting the first day of your period as DAY 1, commence applying one quarter of a small 2.5ml teaspoon am and pm from DAY 12 to DAY 20 and then half a 2.5ml teaspoon am and pm from DAY 21 until DAY 28, then stop using the cream. Your period should then come and you would recommence using the cream from DAY 12 as above.

If your period comes early stop using the cream. The day your period commenced is DAY 1 and you would start using the cream again on DAY 12 continuing as above.

If a period doesn't arrive after stopping the cream on DAY 28, count to DAY 12 and recommence using the cream as above.

If you are experiencing intermittent periods with hot flushes/night sweats, we would suggest you use the Menopause Protocol.

Be aware that you may initially experience heightened symptoms and this is a positive indication that a shift is taking place.

More Extreme Discomfort

For example:

  • heavy bleeding with extremely painful periods,
  • frequent spotting mid cycle,
  • very long cycles,

Counting the first day of your period as DAY 1, commence applying one quarter of a small 2.5ml teaspoon am and pm from DAY 5 to DAY 18 and then increase to half a 2.5ml teaspoon am and pm from DAY 19 until DAY 28, then stop using the cream.

Your period should then come and the day of your period arrives is again DAY 1 and you would recommence using the cream from DAY 5 as above.

If your period doesn't arrive in the within the first five days after stopping the cream on DAY 28, recommence the cream as above and that day would then become DAY 5 of your new cycle.

However, remember whenever you experience a period with normal blood flow that day is always DAY 1 and you would stop using the cream and begin to count to DAY 5 once again.

If you experience spotting mid cycle continue with the cream until DAY 28 or until you experience a full period with normal blood flow if that day is before DAY 28.

Be aware that you may initially experience heightened symptoms and this is a positive indication that a shift is taking place.

If you are experiencing intermittent periods with hot flushes / night sweats, we would suggest you follow the Menopause Protocol.

Transitioning Menopause

Counting the first day of your period as DAY 1, commence applying one quarter of a small 2.5ml teaspoon am and pm from DAY 7 through to DAY 20 and then one 2.5ml half teaspoon am and pm from DAY 21 through to DAY 28, then stop using the cream. Your period may come the next day and you will then start using the cream again from DAY 7 as above.

If your period comes early stop using the cream. The day your period commenced is DAY 1 and you would start using the cream again on DAY 7 continuing as above.

If a period doesn't arrive count to DAY 7 and recommence using the cream as above.

Women who haven't had a period for several months and don't know when to start using the cream, may start at any time and the day you commence to use the cream would be counted as DAY 7. You would then follow the protocol above i.e. 1/4 of a 2.5 ml teaspoon morning and night up until DAY 20, and then from DAY 21 increase to ½  teaspoon morning and night until DAY 28, then stop using the cream.

If a period comes, that day is DAY 1 and you would count to DAY 7 before recommencing the cream as before. If a period doesn't arrive count 7 days and recommence using the cream.

Persistent Hot Flushes

Menopausal symptoms should decrease in both intensity and frequency, disappearing by the third month if the above protocol is closely followed.

If at any time during this period hot flushes or night sweats cause undue discomfort, it may help ease your discomfort if a small amount of cream is massaged into your wrists every 15 minutes until the discomfort passes.

If hot flushes or night sweats continue, it may mean that that insufficient cream is being used, or used irregularly.

Women who have elected to come off synthesized hormones may choose to eliminate taking the breaks from using the cream and may need supplementation of additional phyto oestrogens during this period.

Post Menopause

If you are a mature woman who has passed through menopause and hasn't has a period for over 12 months you are Post Menopausal.

You may decide to use the cream one quarter of a 2.5ml teaspoon am and pm continually without a break, or as we recommend take a 7 day break each month.

The easiest way to calculate your break is by using a calendar month, with DAY 7 being the 7th day of each month. You would then use one quarter of a 2.5ml teaspoon am and pm for two weeks and the remainder of the month one half a 2.5ml teaspoon am and pm. At the end of the month stop using the cream and wait until the 7th day of the following month and recommence as before.

Note: If you are still suffering from hot flushes or night sweats, we would suggest you initially use the cream morning and night without a break, also rubbing a little cream into the insides of your wrists when these occur. You will find these flushes and sweats come less often and are less severe and will disappear. We suggest you then begin to create a cycle for yourself as above.

Maintenance Dosage

We would expect you to be feeling the benefits after the first three months of using the cream, some women are feeling so good they are inclined to think they no longer need the cream!

If at this time you are feeling great, if you wish you can progressively reduce the amount of cream until you detect that you are sliding off the 'feel good' plateau, at this point you need only increase the amount by a smidgen to reclaim your balance - you then know how much cream is right for you.

If at any time you are under emotional stress or involved in extended physically strenuous activity increasing hormonal demands, it may be helpful for you to increase the dosage during these times. If you use more cream than we suggest there's no need to worry; your body will dispose of any nutrients it doesn't require through your normal disposal systems.

Anna's can also be used as a face cream, however it is important to take a complete break as suggested in your chosen protocol.

Moisturising Bonus

The cream is an excellent facial and body moisturiser but should only be used for this purpose within the times indicated in your chosen protocol.

If your symptoms persist we advise you to talk to your Healthcare Professional, preferably one who is knowledgeable in Natural Therapies. We are happy to answer any queries you may have arising out of use of the cream. Our information line or email will help with anything you would like to know beforehand.

Allergic reactions: If you experience an allergic reaction, you may avoid sensitivity by applying the cream to the palms of your hands and soles of your feet. Experience suggests that after 2 to 3 months of using it in this fashion, you may again be able to use the cream sparingly on your arms and thighs to achieve good allergy free results.
